Project Overview
Eman Way is an enterprise-grade travel and Umrah management ecosystem designed to streamline travel operations between Malaysia and Saudi Arabia. The system automates complex workflows for travel agencies by managing multi-tier agent commissions, regional assignments, secure cross-border payments, and real-time logistics tracking for travelers.
Key Platforms Engineered:
Web Portal: Advanced Admin & Agent Dashboard for operations, CRM, and accounting.
Mobile Ecosystem: Native-performance iOS & Android applications built for the end-consumers (pil pilgrims/tourists).
Technical Architecture & Stack
To deliver high availability, absolute data precision for financial reporting, and cross-platform mobility, the platform was engineered using a robust modern stack:
Frontend & Web: React / Next.js
Mobile Apps: Flutter (Single codebase delivering native iOS & Android experiences)
Backend Engineering: Node.js (NestJS architecture for scalability and modularity)
Database & Caching: PostgreSQL for relational data integrity, coupled with Redis for high-performance caching.
Infrastructure: Formally architected and deployed on AWS (Amazon Web Services) with Cloudflare/CloudFront CDN integration for global edge acceleration.
Core System Modules Developed
1. Multi-Role Authentication & Access Control
Implemented Google OAuth 2.0 and custom multi-role access control (RBAC) distinguishing Permissions across Customers, Agents, and Global Admins.
Built region-based logic to auto-assign incoming leads and customers to specific regional agents.
2. Live Logistics & Progress Tracking
Engineered a step-by-step progress tracking system providing real-time visibility for customers.
Tracks administrative milestones including Visa Status Updates, Flight Bookings, Hotel Confirmations, and overall package completion.
3. Automated Agent Management & Royalty Engine
Built region-locked permission layers allowing agents to handle bookings exclusively within their jurisdiction.
Loyalty/Referral Program: Integrated a custom backend referral architecture where agents earn tracking points via dynamic referral links. The points scale into a cash-out system, driving agent-led customer acquisition.
4. Cross-Border Financials & Payment Gateways
Dual-gateway implementation: Integrated Stripe for international transactions and FPX for localized Malaysian bank transfers.
Developed an automated accounting submodule handling automated sales reports, revenue splits, dynamic commission tracking, and downloadable financial reports (PDF/Excel).
5. Multi-Channel Notification Engine
Constructed a centralized communication hub utilizing SendGrid/SES for transactional emails, Twilio for SMS, and direct integration with the WhatsApp Business API for automated real-time status triggers.
Compliance & Security Standards
Given the international nature of the data flow, the backend was rigorously aligned with data security and compliance requirements:
PDPA Malaysia & Saudi Data Regulations for user privacy.
PCI DSS Compliance for secure, tokenized payment processing.
